colmcillecoaching.co.scot (‘Website’) is provided by Jamie Wallace (trading as Colmcille Coaching) (‘I’/’me’/’my’). In the course of providing coaching services and operating the Website, I may receive and process personal information relating to you. As the controller of this information, I provide this Privacy Notice (‘Notice’) to explain my approach.

I intend only to process personal information fairly and transparently as required by UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. I will alert you to this Notice before obtaining information from you, tell you how I intend to process it, and only process it as permitted by law.

You may browse parts of this Website without providing any information about yourself. In that case, it is unlikely I will possess or process any information relating to you.

Where I need your consent to collect or use information, I will provide you with an opportunity to indicate consent at the point of collection. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting me at the address above. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before the withdrawal.

4. Sensitive Information

As a coaching and NLP practice, the work may sometimes touch on information in special categories — for example, relating to your health or wellbeing. I will only collect and process such information where you have given explicit consent, and I will handle it with additional care.

Where you have opted in: sending you relevant information about services, resources or events

I will not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

I will not disclose your personal information to any third party except:

To service providers acting as data processors on my behalf (e.g. booking platforms, payment processors, cloud storage providers) under appropriate data processing agreements

Session content is confidential. I will not disclose what you share in coaching sessions without your consent, except where I am legally required to do so or where there is a serious risk of harm.

8. Protecting Your Information

I maintain appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. Communications over the internet are not fully secure; I cannot accept responsibility for unauthorised access or loss beyond my reasonable control.

I will retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, and in accordance with any applicable legal retention requirements. Coaching session records are typically retained for five years after the end of the coaching relationship.

This Website uses cookies. A cookie is a small file placed on your device to help the Website function and to help me understand how visitors use it.

Strictly necessary cookies (Category 1) do not require your consent. All other cookies require your specific consent, which you can give or withdraw through the cookie banner displayed when you first visit the Website.

You will not normally have to pay a fee to exercise these rights. I will respond to all legitimate requests within one month.

You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at www.ico.org.uk if you believe I have not handled your personal information lawfully.
